Vacuum Salt Plants
Crystalline sodium chloride is commonly known as table salt or vacuum salt. It is obtained by evaporative crystallization method. Refined salt can be produced using different technologies according to the chemical and physical structure of the raw material and the energy input costs in the region where the facility will be established. Thermal vapor recompression (TVR), mechanical vapor recompression (MVR), flash evaporation technologies are the production methods. Each method has advantages and disadvantages. The appropriate production method is determined by evaluating the customer's demands. The advantages and disadvantages of the methods are explained in detail in the technologies section. Forced circulation (FC) or growth type (Oslo) crystallizers are preferred according to the customer's crystal particle size demand. Forced circulation (FC) type crystallizer is generally preferred.
