Thermal Vapor Recompression (TVR)
TVR Thermal Vapor Recompression

Some of the steam (approximately 50%) formed in the evaporator or crystallizer is compressed by using high pressure steam in the thermocompressor and made usable again as heat input to the heat exchanger. Approximately one level is added to the system. In this way, efficiency increases.

Advantages:

  • Investment cost is low

  • Maintenance-free as there are no rotating elements
