Multiple Effect Evapotation with TVR

It is an advantageous technology to be used in the evaporator and crystallizer design if the steam cost is low in the region where the facility will be established. The steam formed except the last stage is used as heat input in the next evaporator exchanger. The steam in the last stage is condensed in the barometric condenser and the energy is removed from the system. As the number of stages increases, the need for live steam decreases. However, the investment cost increases.

Advantages:

  • By increasing the number of stages, steam consumption is reduced.
